Hello, we are the Hamlin Family, owners of Hammock Creek Golf Club in Palm City, Florida. One of our work family members has suffered the unthinkable.
On March 15, 2024, our Chef and Food and Beverage Director, Chris DeFilippo, and his family were struck with an unimaginable tragedy.
Their daughter, 17 year old Lia Tucker, was a passenger in a truck that crashed on Veterans Memorial Parkway in Port St. Lucie. Tragically, three young people, including Lia's boyfriend Draiden Frank and two other friends, perished in this horrible accident. The unnamed driver also survived.

Lia is slowly recovering in the ICU unit at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center with massive injuries to her arms, shoulders, right leg, and liver. Although her condition has been stabilized and her prognosis is to recover,
she faces an incredible uphill battle to recover from her numerous injuries.
With Lia having very limited insurance through Medicaid,
medical expenses from this horrible accident will continue to grow as she recovers over the coming weeks and months.
